The article I read, from The National Council of Teacher of Mathematic,s was titled Mathematics for All Students: Access, Excellence, and Equity. The article focused on equality of all students no matter what the ethnicity, race, or gender of the students in mathematics. ... It is apparent at the college level courses in math and science that minorities are under represented in science and math. ... If studies show that females feel less confident about math then boys, teacher need to encourage females more then males in mathematics or make them more excited about learning math. The article tell teachers they are required to get rid of the deep rooted beliefs about who can learn mathematics, make math and science more attractive, and to stimulate student interest in math as a college major or career choice.
