The opposing argument is that, just as a grammatical or musical action may not come from a grammatical or musical person, a just or temperate action may not come from a just or temperate person. ...

This story shows us that, in black and white cases of justice and injustice in the lives of people, Aristotle’s argument that a person must be in the right state holds true. If a person truly only does a few just acts, the argument works flawlessly. Aristotle’s argument is also good when judging oneself, because one knows the reasoning and history of all actions he performs.
