A 12-year-old girl, a 16-year-old boy, and a 17-year-old girl took their lives during a 2 ½ week period last month. ... So today I will be discussing the importance of passing this teen suicide bill, who will be impacted by the legislation, and what will happen if we don’t pass this bill here today in congress.
There are some many problems today in teen suicide for example every year, one in 13 high school students’ attempts suicide. Half of all high schoolers -or about 6 million kids-- say they have “seriously considered” suicide by the time they graduate, a 1997 national survey found.
