This article taught me some of these alcohol resistance skills, and the author recommended that we practice these skills. If we are to ever go to a party in which you know that there will be alcohol, make it clear to yourself that you will not drink. ... The last thing you would ever want to do is drive under the influence of alcohol, so be sure to have a designated driver. While your best interest when going to a party is your own personal safety, it is important that you get help if you feel someone’s life is in danger due to excessive alcohol consummation. ...
And lastly the article titled “Club Drugs: Little Pills, Big Dangers”. Although designer drugs may be portrayed by some people as being a rewarding drug, I find that there is no reward in permanent brain damage, date rape, and chronic depression. These designer drugs also known as club drugs include ecstasy, rohypnol, and GHB. ... After reading these six articles, it dramatically changed the way I perceived certain risks, such as trying marijuana or a cigarette once or twice, because I learned of how a small start may lead into a big problem. These articles helped me to become more aware of how vulnerable the general public can be to drug abuse, and I became more aware of how the smoking companies are trying to make me a “potential customer of tomorrow”, and what I should not believe if a peer is trying to pressure me into trying new things that I do not wish to try.
