With Sinatra out of Dorsey’s band, Columbia Records saw how good of an opportunity they had. They estimated that Frank’s records were selling at an annual rate of ten million per year! By the end of 1946 he was recording with Columbia as a soloist. He participated in twenty-five sessions, recording seventy-two songs just during 1947! “The Voice” had many hits during his time with Columbia.
