Dupers and Popies (Part One-The Resistance) Now before you read my so called, “Science fiction story,” you should know that this is based on true events and is almost completely real. So read on, if you dare……… Once upon a time in an enchanted medieval forest, there were two clans of beings who were rivals, mortal enemies in a way. The first clan called “The Dupers,” were made up of squirrels, chipmunks, beavers, raccoons, and other small ground scurrying animals. They were a peaceful, nature loving family of creatures. All they ever wanted was everyone to love one another, very similar to the beliefs of a 60’s hippie. Now their enemies however, were a very disturbed and hateful group. They are referred to as “The popies (and yes this is spelled right Mr. Hawker). The popies goal in life has always been to completely annihilate the dupers.
