Social Class C2 seemed to have the highest proportion of those most worried, 53 per cent . ... This theory is normally applied when studying the victimisation of various social classes. ... For example, in a court room, lower class people are likely to feel intimidated by the social differences between themselves and the court. ... This situation is unlikely to improve quickly because there is always going to be variation within communities of ethnic origins and wealth and society needs to discover new ways of handling differences so that they do not lead to social alienation and disadvantage.
