Comedy Commentary Good Movie

Even though every person on the planet has his or her own individual tastes and preferences, good movies are hard to come across by any standards. Luckily, in 1999 a good movie did come along in the form of Office Space, a 90-minute comedy of office bureaucracy and cubicle slavery. It is undeniable to anyone who views Office Space that it is a good movie based on its humor, the performances of the actors in it, and the message it conveys to it audience, three things a truly “good” comedy must have. ... Because without effective humor, a comedy is not a comedy, and without high-quality performances from the actors, humor has no chance of being delivered correctly. Most importantly, every good movie must do more than entertain; a good movie must provide a unique insight into some aspect of life or teach a lesson no other movie has. ... The real fuel of the movie’s humor is its acerbic satire, which unreservedly ridicules the cubicle-ridden workplace so common in today’s society. ... The absurdity of the company’s rules and regulations coupled with frequent ironies provide Office Space with more than enough humor for it to be a good comedy.
