Dangerous Beauty Film Review
In my experience so far, Dangerous Beauty has been one of the most exquisitely detailed movie I’ve seen. I was shocked at the emotion, beautiful picture, and engaging storyline of this film. I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to watch this movie. This movie was set in Italy in the 1500’s, when Venice was at its best. Venice had become very rich and successful. A poor girl, Veronica Franco, had big dreams and a mind of a poet. She had wanted to marry Marco Venier, but his family was too rich for them. At that time period, women were possessions and marriage was like a contract for the money and success of the male. So when Veronica was rejected she was pushed to become a courtesan by her mother, a retired courtesan herself. A courtesan may be a rich prostitute, but she is to be highly educated, witty, and pretty to attract the men.
