Gatsby, however, has become so wealthy that he sees few models for emulation above him. He must be nearing the end of the process whereby acquisition of wealth leads to moral superiority. - This is saying that Gatsby has gotten so wealthy that there aren’t many people he can look to, to copy and understand how to act. In his earlier years there were lots of people who had more money and had moral superiority over him, however he is the one with all the moral superiority.
