I ‘ve had a considerably harder time with this pense, due to the type of movie category that some suggest Bringing Up Baby falls into. ... I brought up my frustration with this movie in class, yet I still have a problem with Bringing Up Baby as a romantic comedy. I feel that the best way to approach this is to map out my ideas in a closer examination of the movie.
Firstly, the implied love at the end of the movie between Cary Grant’s David and Katherine Hepburn’s Susan was a very hard sell. There was nothing within the plot of this movie that made me believe that these two would, or more importantly, should fall in love.
