... This film is no other than “Pretty Woman.” In Perrault’s tale of Cinderella, it focuses more on the younger audience and in “Pretty Woman” it’s more for the mature audience, even though they are both very similar.
Perrault’s tale of “Cinderella” and the film “Pretty Woman” have many similarities between them even though they are separated by almost a century. In the movie “Pretty Woman” the main characters are Edward and Vivian and in “Cinderella” the main character is Cinderella. In the movie, Edward is a rich, handsome, kind, and generous man who runs his own company and Vivian is a beautiful, intelligent, attractive, young woman who lives with a roommate and both are prostitutes. In the tale, Cinderella is a beautiful, intelligent, young woman who is a maid for he stepmother and her two stepsisters.
