Permanent Record (Marisa Silver, 1988) shows the tragedy of a teen death and what it can do to his peers. David Sinclair (Alan Boyce) had a pretty girlfriend, popularity, and a promising future as a song writer until one night he threw it all away. His friends and family were then left behind to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives. Lauren (Jennifer Robin) and Chris (Keanu Reeves) are devastated by David’s death and find them selves wondering what they could have done, why, and if the same fate will happen to them. Lauren was David’s girlfriend. She is tall, has blonde hair, and beautiful.
