The Haircut

Oliver Stone The Haircut It was 10:45 a.m. on Monday, two days before my first day of class sophomore year. This was the day on which all students had their photographs taken after registration for the school directory. I went to a private high school called Baylor; I started there in the seventh grade. Thus far, I had more or less enjoyed my experience at Baylor. However, the Headmaster, Laird, had been forced to resign by the Board of Trustees at the conclusion of the previous year. The reason that had been cited was “administrative differences.” Practically every student at the school loved Laird and knew this was simply an excuse by the Board which would allow them to control the day-to-day activity and policies of Baylor through a puppet.
