Romeo and Juliet has the exact same plot as West Side Story with only a few differences. Tony and Maria are Romeo and Juliet. There isn’t a gang but instead the conflict is between Montague and Capulet who are Romeo and Juliet’s family. Bernardo is Tybalt who also picks a fight with the opposing family after Romeo and Juliet get to get together.
