DooWop
The definition of doo-wop is sounds made by a singing group as they provide harmonic background vocals for the lead singer. Doo-wop can be traced back to the World War II era. The music started to become popular by the year 1953. As groups began to form, they developed songs without musical instruments. Doo-wop became popular in major cities such as Chicago, New York, Baltimore, and Los Angeles. The fact that there were no musical instruments involved made it easy to rehearse just about anywhere.
