... Just as there exist a sea of information in just print media alone, there also exist a sea of issues that are related to “Diversity of thought” in the media. It often comes in to question the effects that the level of diversity in the media has on the outcome of the reporting. Is there diversity of thought in print media? Does diversity of thought in the media even effect the reporting of news? Well, first it is important that we can agree on what is “Diversity of thought” in the media. ... Second, I will then demonstrate that there is already diversity of thought in print media, there will continue to be, and it will likely continue to grow.
In order to properly address the issues of diversity in the media there are first some things that need to be understood that are very complicated to even understand and/or define. To even define “Diversity” can alone be tough to do, especially when drawing lines as to what is Diversity, what constitutes Diversity in the workplace, and how much Diversity is considered an acceptable amount of Diversity. To then tack on “Diversity of thought” opens up the gamut of possible interpretations by large multiples. So, it goes without saying, that to comment on “Diversity of thought in the Media” one is commenting on a subject that is highly indefinable and open to much criticism and debate.
