Freedom of Life…
Euthanasia, the freedom of life itself, has been a long topic of argument for people around the world. ... Out of the many people who have stated their opinion, Eileen Doyle’s, Consequences of Imposing Quality-of-Life Ethic, and Sidney Hook’s, In Defense of Voluntary Euthanasia, present a case for both sides of the argument.
Doyle essay explains how she worries that her opponents, members of the quality of life group, will find ways to make euthanasia legal based on the Constitution, the same document she claims supports her sanctity of life belief. ... Doyle mentions how her opponents believe that people who can’t exactly have a normal life, due to a mental illness, or simply appreciate life itself would not be able to have the same rights of life as others.
