Listening Review #2 Most of these songs reminded me of the songs we were to listen to on the last CD. I still enjoyed them, but they just reminded me of the others. A lot of the songs were really upbeat and I still do not understand why. We learn in class about all the hardships and difficult times these artists have in their lives. Their songs are supposedly written to describe these issues. I do not understand how a song can describe something if there are no lyrics. And even more so, how can something sounding so upbeat and happy be about such oppressing and depressing things? While I was listening to the CD I kept that question in mind. I then thought that maybe the songs were to show their hope of good times ahead.
