INTRODUCTION When I hear the word, “Music,” many different things come to my mind. I could think of melody, dynamics and pitch to name a few. Music is very different for everyone, including myself. All of the different styles that people like or dislike is what make music so great. It has a major impact and influences in our lives. Music is part of our identity because without it, we will never be ourselves. In order to fully understand the language of music, a person like me, need to recognize and to be aware of the musical elements that are significant in this form of art. My first Music Appreciation paper covers a popular pop song composition, “I knew I Loved You,” which was sung by a famous Australian- American duo, the Savage Garden.
