In this essay the theme of fate in Romeo and Juliet shall be explored. Romeo is the character that talks most about fate. He says in Act 1, Scene 4 just before the ball, “I fear too early for my mind misgives, Some consequence yet hanging in the stars.” From that quote we can see that before the meeting with Juliet that would bring about his death, he sensed something with a fatal outcome would happen.
