Without music where would we be? ... All of these items have affected who we are but none have impacted us like the power of music. Most of the criticism of music focuses on lyrics, but the power of rhythm or the beat in music should not be overlooked.
When you examine how saturated our society is with the power of music and its rhythm, you will see many people who everyday are looking for an identity. You will also see how music influences everything about us, and the positive and negative things that come with it. ... The term positive music may be unfamiliar to some people. When I use the term positive to describe music, I am using it to describe music that has beneficial qualities and is emotionally and spiritually uplifting, perhaps even healing. Additionally, positive music can be relaxing, calming, and mentally invigorating. Positive music is not about lyrics, but about the music itself. People are so focused on the lyrics, that they don’t see how the rhythm of the music has changed them. ...
Some of these crazed fans that have lost their individuality in music will go to the extremes of the songs. A song written by Eminem called Stan is a perfect example of a person who is impacted by Eminem’s music so much that he tries to be just like him.
