It had been a tough potato harvest year in Ireland, everyone knew that. ... Potatoes were the living of Ireland, “The proud peoples harvest” dad used to say. But now the government of Ireland had informed the farmers union of Ireland, that there wasn’t potatoes enough, “it has gone straight down”. Now I will jump in the time ones again, 1½ year after the outbreak of the famine. It was like the plaque, but now ruling Ireland, and know it was taking over the whole country. |
