Families

A family is a group of people who help, protect, and care for one another. A family can be functional or dysfunctional. A functional family is one that gets along, sticks up for one another, and loves each other and loves God. A dysfunctional family can have an abundance of characteristics, such as running out on one’s family, not all getting along, disagreeing and fighting more that loving and caring for one another. Leo Tolstoy once said, “happy families are all alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.” A dysfunctional family is one that falls apart. Either there is no leadership or there is no love. A family can not be a family without each member giving up a little time and effort to spend time together. A family can become a dysfunctional family also. When members become abusive, alcoholics or many other things toward others the family takes a step backwards. Rebuilding a family takes time, trust, patience, and God.
