It is not a surprise that The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy is difficult to read in the beginning. There are many things going on during the first few chapters of the book and I felt as if I was bombarded with information left and right. But as soon as I continued further on the chapters, everything unfolded slowly and things began to make sense.
