How Friar Laurence was The main support of Romeo and Juliet
... In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Friar Laurence is that significant character. The friar is important in developing the story with multiple characters, including both Romeo and Juliet. With Romeo, he gave him advice in order to see Juliet and also was the main factor in Romeo’s death. He was also important with Juliet because he wed Romeo and Juliet, and He helped Juliet escape her marriage with Paris to see Romeo. Finally, without the friar, there would not be a marriage between Romeo and Juliet, or a plan for them to see each other and continue their love. Friar Laurence was the most significant supporting character in William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet because of his impact on Romeo, Juliet, and the outcome of the story.
Friar Laurence had a significant impact on Romeo. First, he gave him advice in order to see Juliet. In Act three, Scene three, the friar gives Romeo confidence that he still has a chance to see Juliet after his banishment.
