Julius Caesar
The story of Julius Caesar, written by William Shakespeare, is a very unique story. Greed and envy drove men to the horrific act of killing a very noble man; a man named Julius Caesar. Through much convincing, Cassius had persuaded Brutus to believe that Caesar would overpower Rome if he were not stopped. After the murder of Caesar, Brutus was obligated to the people of Rome to explain his actions. The group of men who had killed Caesar quickly learned that the crowd agreed with Brutus. Brutus then persuaded the crowd to stay and listen to Marc Antony, a good friend of Caesar. Ironically, by the end of the speech, Marc Antony had won over the hearts of the crowd, by his mood, his sarcasm, and the way in which he read Caesar’s will. ... Marc Antony does a simular thing in his speech at Julius Caesar’s funeral.
