Keeping a Secret

The impure reverend, browses through his Bible, in search of guidance and stumbles across Job 24:15. “The eye of the adulterer waits for the twilight, Saying, ‘No eye will see me.’ And he disguises his face.” Believers say the Bible predicts the future, so there is no need to explain what happens to the impure reverend. Nathaniel Hawthorne’s novel The Scarlet Letter explores adultery between Hester Prynne and Arthur Dimmesdale. Resulting in continuous mockery and an evil child. In every aspect, Dimmesdale has all right to keep his fall from grace confidential, for the fear of discrimination, humiliation, and withholding important elements in his life.
