Lord of the Flies
In Lord of the Flies, author William Golding shows that “civilized” behavior is but a thin shell. Golding demonstrates how humans are actually capable of extraordinary evil under the right circumstances. The novel is about a group of boys who are stranded on a desert island. They elect a leader, Ralph, and try to find ways to be rescued. However, things on the island start to break up after a while.
