Madness of Heathcliff as significant

In the novel Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, the characters are involved in a love triangle in which the main character, Heathcliff, is outcast by the other two characters. Heathcliff turns to madness and irrational thinking to somehow get revenge on the other two. ... The madness of Heathcliff becomes significant to the work since it conveys the meaning of love conquering all.
Heathcliff’s irrational thinking can be seen throughout the novel even before Edgar and Cathy have been married. Heathcliff irrational behavior reaches its climax during the years when Cathy and Edgar were married. Heathcliff first of many irrational behavior begins with the treatment of Hindley. Heathcliff constantly hurts and encourages Hindley’s bad qualities. Heathcliff rage toward Hindley finally came to its peak when Heathcliff almost killed Hindley in a fight. After coming home one night, Hindley plans to kill Heathcliff but Isabella, in order to protect Heathcliff, locks Heathcliff out of the house.
