MACBETH ESSAY
The main reason Macbeth is such a tragedy is because of the many deaths that took place in order for Macbeth to become king, when in the end, Macbeth dies and the original heir to the thrown, Malcolm, is given the title. ... Although, the rest of the deaths occurred because once Macbeth killed Duncan he became power hungry and he also had to cover up his guilt. It is ironic, in a way, that so many innocent lives were taken just so Macbeth could stay in power for a short period of time and then end up being killed. ... Macbeth is a play about exactly that. Macbeth is internally unstable causing him to go on a killing streak. “A little water clears us of this deed,” Lady Macbeth reassures her husband.
