Macbeth a Bad Man

... This is very similar to what happened in Shakespeare’s Macbeth. After killing Duncan successfully, Macbeth becomes over confident and starts to test what would happen if he did something else, such as killing his close friend Banquo. Because of Macbeth’s change in personality, and way of thinking, the murder of Duncan and Banquo start off and end up differently. ...
When the plan to kill Duncan was made, Macbeth wasn’t really part of it. Lady Macbeth plotted everything, and made a fool proof plan. Macbeth didn’t really want to kill Duncan, but Lady Macbeth pressured him into it. He told lady Macbeth that “[they] will proceed no further in this business/He hath honour’d [him] of late”(1,7,32). ... She planned everything so Macbeth can kill Duncan quickly and easily in his sleep. ... Since Macbeth was so reluctant, she didn’t want him to have anything to do with the planning, just in case his conscience gets the better of him. In this plan, the only people who know of this are Macbeth, and lady Macbeth. This means that there are less people to confess and make Macbeth guilty. In the planning of Banquo’s murder, on the other hand, Macbeth was already appointed king, so he hired two people to kill Banquo. ... In this planning, it was Macbeth who planned everything out. In fact, Lady Macbeth didn’t even know that Macbeth wanted to do this, and had nothing to do with the planning. He said to Lady Macbeth, “Be innocent of the knowledge, dearest chuck,/ till thou applaud the deed“ (3,2,45). ... Macbeth has changed very much in between the time of Duncan’s and Banquo’s death. ... Something that is the same though, is that Macbeth did both things for the benefit of himself. ...
During the execution of Duncan and Banquo, Macbeth reacted very differently. While Macbeth was on his way to kill Duncan, he felt very bad and he was hesitating. When he got back to Lady Macbeth he told her that he was upset because he heard Duncan’s sons pray and he couldn’t say amen. ... This distressed him very much and I think that means that Macbeth is a good person and that he can’t handle killing Duncan. ... Also, when he went to Lady Macbeth, he had a minute to actually realize what he was doing and he immediately regretted it.
