Having prophecies coming true about being king, along with Lady Macbeth’s
involvement contribute to this by persuading him to go through with ideas about
securing the thrown and avoiding his forshadowed death. ... The play has no mysterious
forces working against Macbeth, therefore holding himself responsible for all
misfortune that came to him, and for his unavoidable downfall.
