maesto

English Analytical Text Response, Maestro -Paul’s Growth Topic #2- The acclaimed novel written by Peter Goldsworthy, Maestro does arouse many interesting topics that can be under discussion. One of these involves the character of Paul. Is Paul Crabbe more mature and grown up than he was at the beginning of the text? Most definitely! To say that Paul Crabbe has changed for the best is a huge understatement. Honestly not too many people could truly say that they enjoyed the ‘adolescent’ Paul Crabbe more than the ‘adult’ Paul Crabbe. The older Paul was faced and introduce with new responsibilities that grabbed him and never threw him back into the ‘simple minded’ person that he once was. For this to occur Paul had to accept these challenges, these new opportunities and finally step out of those small shoes he stood in and move his way up into the big ones. This challenge would start Paul on his journey into becoming a man, a respectable adult. It can be argued that until one individual has actually experienced a major change for the first time in their lives, they are not prepared at all for change.
