"Mary had a little lamb; whose fleece was slightly gray, didn't have a father, just borrowed some DNA, sort of had a mother through the ovum was on loan, was not so much a lambskin as a lamby little clone. Soon it had a fellow clone, and soon there were some more, they followed her to school one day, all cramming through the door. They made the children laugh and sing and thrilled them to the soul, but there were just too many lambs for Mary to control. No one else could heard the sheep; their imprints didn't vary; Cloners sought to fix it up by simply cloning Mary. So clone they did, and Newsweek said it was extrodinary. And now they don't know what to do with Mary, Mary, Mary (anonymous Internet author)." What is cloning? Cloning is the making of an identical species from another of the same species' DNA. Cloning is also something much more. Cloning is an unusual and horrific experiment that threatens human ethics, global future, and human individuality. Most Americans believe that there is a God or some supernatural force at work in the world. It is many of those very Americans that feel that cloning affects, or strongly conflicts, with their religious values. "A Time Magazine poll (March 10, 1997) reported that seventy four percent of those asked, believe it is against God's will to clone human beings." Christians among many other religions believe in having a soul.
