Poems

The two poems I like the most were The Panther by Rainer Maria Rilke and The Eagle by Alfred Lord Tennyson. They both have in common the theme of wild creatures. I like them the most because of their imagery. Rainer wrote The Panther because of the way he feels about animals being kept in captivity. He explains the way the panther walks up and down his cage watching and waiting for something to happen, but nothing ever does, the panther gets his hopes up and then nothing happens.
