Every summer while I was growing up, my family and I went on a vacation. Each year we went to the same place in New Hampshire. Hampton Beach, to us, was a summer paradise. We loved it so much that it seemed pointless to consider going anywhere else. The summer that I turned fifteen was no different. When August rolled around we started making all of the preparations necessary for the big trip. We did all of the packing, all of the shopping, and all of the waiting. Finally, the auspicious day had arrived. We loaded up the family van and began our five and a half hour trek to our summer Mecca. When we arrived, it seemed as though we had never left. I hurried to unpack my clothes and heard a thunderstorm off in the distance. This was great news. Storms out over the ocean always produce waves that are big and strong. This makes them perfect for bodysurfing. For my family, bodysurfing was one of the main attractions of this spot. The next morning, we got up especially early in anticipation of the majestic waves. We gathered our blankets and our lunch and headed for the sand.
