The Call of the Wild The way that people sometimes treat their animals often affects the way the animal will respond back to the person. In Buck's case, his master abusing him will cause him to become vicious. Jack London writes about how a group of sled dogs endure many struggles with their sled masters. The Call of the Wild is written to explain how the cruelty of man in today’s society is affecting the way we act, think, and live. Many times the condition of out surroundings will affect out attitude towards something or the way we think about it.
