Tame Regardless of Deceit

Ever since the play by Shakespeare The Taming of The Shrew made its debut centuries ago, one controversial question about it still remains in the hearts of its readers. That question is “ho won Petruchio or Kate?” Through thorough analyzation of the play it is discernible that Petruchio won that battle of the sexes. Frankly, in The Taming of the Shrew Kate was tamed by Petruchio. In a deciding turning point of the play, Kate began to obey Petruchio’s every whim. An Example of this is when Petruchio told Kate to kiss him, she didn’t want to because she was embarrassed but she did anyway when Petruchio threatened to go back home.
