analytical essay

The two articles do not indicate a widespread problem but they indicate a problem that is continuing to get worse. The problems caused by the rise of unemployment is not a problem limited to major cities such as Miami, but it is a growing problem throughout the United States. The article entitled “The Nation: Help Wanted; Out of a Job and No Longer Looking” brought out that the problem with unemployment is worse than what people think because there are a lot of people without jobs that are not counted toward the unemployment rate. The gap between the rich and the poor could also be said to be the blame in the rise of poverty and unemployment. A lot of harm can stem from this socially patterned problem because as people grow up in there lives they usually stay in the same social class in which they were brought up in. If you were raised in poverty you stay in poverty, and if you were raised wealthy you have a better chance of staying in your same class. This also could cause they gap between the races to increase.
