Aboriginal Music The traditional music of Australian Aboriginals holds a lot of significance to their society. Throughout an aborigine’s life music is used to teach cultural lessons and beliefs. It is also used to show an aborigine’s place in their culture. The aborigine is encouraged to dance and sing about everyday tasks throughout their childhood, puberty, and manhood. There are different roles an aborigine plays in songs that fit their age and experience accordingly. The many instruments the aboriginals play in their songs also are assigned to different people according to their role in their civilization. When aboriginals are very young they are immediately taught about life through song.
