An Abusive Mother

The Abusive Mother Most women think that being a mother is a natural or God given right. I firmly believe that God gave women the privilege of motherhood, not the right to it. Unfortunately, some women abuse this privilege. I know that abuse of a privilege does not sound like a big deal, but when the privilege of motherhood is abused, it results in a child being harmed. As a police officer, I met an abusive mom I will never forget. The 911 operator received a call from a lady who reported she did not know what was happening but it sounded like someone was being killed at her neighbor’s house. Three officers and I responded to the reported location. All of us ran up to the door, paused to listen, and then had to decide what to do next. The screams and odor that emitted from the house were bone chilling and nauseating. Whatever was taking place beyond that door had to stop and stop right then. Scared as hell, we pulled our weapons’ and quickly decided to enter the home. Fortunately, the door was unlocked. With a quick turn and push of the door knob we were in.
