Andrew Carnegie Andrew Carnegie was a simple man who made his humble begging as a Scottish weaver’s son. He emigrated to the U.S. with his family in 1848. He eventually became an Industrial Tycoon. This did not happen for some time though. He began his career life in a telegraph office. This eventually lead him to a Career with the Pennsylvania Railroad Company.
