My name is Adrienne, I am 16 years old and I recently moved up to the San Marcos area. I moved from the city of Poway where I previously attended Poway High school. Ever since I got into high school I have struggled at keeping my grades up, I just didn’t enjoy the whole “high school” scene, and I couldn’t seem to make my school work a priority. I never liked to get up in the morning to go to school because I always felt like I was trapped there until the last bell would ring at 2:30. I first heard about the independent study program when my brother got enrolled during his senior year. After I learned more about the program I became interested and I suggested it to my parents, however my mom didn’t think it was a good idea for my because I was only a freshman at the time.
