... Many Caucasian students are outraged at the University of Michigan because of their practice of affirmative action. Therefore, in my opinion, affirmative action should not be practiced because it is a form of discrimination against the caucasian race. Hearing different views on affirmative action makes a person ask, why is it still being used? Americans have fought so hard to have equal rights and by practicing affirmative action, businesses and colleges are in essence provoking discrimination. This paper is intended to inform the reader about affirmative action and why it is a problem in the United States, as well as why it is relevant to the average american.
