Personal Statement 1) Describe an interest in your life that has been particularly meaningful to you. A particularly meaningful interest to me is music. I cannot live without it. One of the things I have always said is “Music is air.” Music is almost something that keeps me sane. The funny thing is that when I was younger, I had no desire for music; in fact, I didn’t like it at all. That all changed when I borrowed my friends bass guitar in the beginning of 10th grade. After that I grew to love music, to live it. Now, two years later, not only can I play bass, but I can also play guitar, drums, and I am taking piano lessons twice a week.
