Educational Philosophy

Philosophy of Education “Education is the improvement of self” Education is a process in which a “total individual” is created. This individual not only acquires knowledge, but also exudes knowledge through application. A “total individual” excels physically, spiritually, and intellectually. It was Socrates, the father of Idealism, who cautioned that the unexamined life was not worth living. This statement, made so many years ago, is fundamental in my philosophy of education, today. I feel that each student is a unique individual and must be treated with respect.
