|
The usage of the Nintendo in the early eighties alerted us to the decreasing time spent with family and the dramatic increase of time spent on video games. The addicting habits brought on by this system not only affected children’s activity levels, but also the health of their family life. In reality, effect of playing video games all day long is sad disappointed; one misses out on so much time with family and friends all for the sake of telling people how the princess was saved or how the castle was destroyed. ... They never even step outside their room to see their family, let alone step outside for some fresh air. ... These game systems are not another member of the family and shouldn’t be treated like one.
Excessive video game play can sometimes leave a person with very little time for anything else, and being part of a family requires time.
