IMPORTANCE OF SEX EDUCATION

Sex is all around us. ... But in order to enjoy this precious gift while understanding the responsibility, importance, and risks, we (the community) need to be educated. Sex can be extremely dangerous. ... I believe with the proper education, people will act with more respect to themselves and their neighbors. ... I think if community and school board authority figures could realize the gap of sexual education in our community and the effect educating our teens would have on bringing all of us together in a brighter and safer community they might develop a curriculum or program in our schools; thus, improving our lives, schools, and communities. ... I understand that the older generations might not realize the effects and pressures that sex has on their children. ... We probably will never perfectly understand sex, but we can improve society by preparing teens. Sexual education would give all of us a more firm foundation in understanding and accepting one another. Sex education is extremely important in bettering our community.
Sex is a natural part of life, and when questions arise, they can be discussed in a mature way without inappropriate behavior.
