Level of Commitment

For many years I have struggled with the thought of returning to college to complete a degree. I completed two certificate programs over the years, one in Cabinet Making and one in Aviation Maintenance. I found that work through technical college was easier than college because I could be more involved with the mechanical aspect of learning. Each time I started a business program I found numerous excuses to get out of it. Not sure why I fought so hard to avoid the business degree, only thing I can think of is that I was afraid of getting involved with a program that required a large degree of commitment. Well today my life is much different than it has been in the past. I have move more into the business side of the companies I have worked for and I feel more comfortable with book learning and working as a team member. I have done very well for myself in the line of work I have pursued. Beginning as a lab technician, working through the ranks as a Prototype Engineering aid, and eventually onto a service engineer really opened the door to the outside world. I was now in a position where I dealt with people on a daily basis, people of all race creeds and colors.
